A husband, father of two and an avid wine lover. Walter Melato is an engineer by profession, after spending over 25 years in the Engineering and Building Environment he finally decided to follow his passion and open a Wine Bar. His love for wine started around 1998 when he was based in Richards Bay. The first bottle he purchased was a Neethlingshof Cab Sav 1995, which he still has in his wine cooler at home.
The wine bar project has been in the making for almost 10 years due to his love for grapes. His aim has always been to create more than just any other wine bar but an ambiance for conversations and first class customer service.
Chef Harold Saidi Originally from Zim, taught him self how to cook from a young age. He liked the kitchen so much that he moved to South Africa to pursue a career in the kitchen. He worked his way up at restaurants like 8 at The Towers and Vicky Cristina. All under the guide of top chef Slobodan.
